I'm a mom of four and a grandma of eight (and counting) and hats have been part of my life for as long as I can remember. Growing up as the oldest of four girls, we were raised by our single mother and visits to our dad usually included a stop at his barbershop. Yep, he was barber, which meant he tried, but we didn't get fancy hairstyles. I usually left the my dad's barbershop with a “girl's version” of a boy's haircut. Cute… but not exactly hair-magazine material. So, hats became my go-to...especially my beloved 70's polka-dot-choo-choo-train hat!

Later, when I got married and as my husband and I were raising our kids, my good hair days were few and far between. Hats came in handy. Fast-forward to our move south and Florida's humidity, and well - let’s just say hats became less of an accessory and more of a necessity.

But here’s the twist: somewhere along the way, I realized hats weren’t just about covering up - they were about showing off. I see moms of all generations sporting super cute baseball hats, sun hats, bucket hats and the like. So, whether you’ve got flawless, just-left-the-salon hair or you’re rocking day three dry shampoo, or you live with a humidity-hair situation - the right hat makes everyone look and feel amazing.

That’s why The Mom Cap Co was born: a collection of hats for all the moms ... all the days ... good hair days, bad hair days, and everything in between. We've got loads of hats for moms (and a few for dad and kids), and anyone who wants to adopt a little hat'tidude! And that's not all ... having been raised by a single mom, every year we are taking a portion of our proceeds to lift the spirits of other single moms - whether that means we surprise them with a new hat or send them an unexpected gift to buy groceries - at The Mom Cap Co we won't forget where we came from.
